Quick Healthy Snacks That Will Make You Feel Great
How easy is it to grab a bag of chips (potato chips…chocolate chips, etc) and just mindlessly munch on it? SUPER EASY RIGHT?! Well before you know it half the bag is gone and you find yourself feeling a little crummy, and unmotivated to do the extra things you wanted to get done today. Yeeeah I’ve been there.
But the good news is, there are a lot of super healthy snacks that have little to No preparation! Here is a list of some of my favorite natural and healthy snacks:

Bell peppers, believe it or not they taste really good eaten plain, just cut one up take out the seeds and voila you have yourself a quick, easy and most importantly a healthy snack. 1 cup of green bell pepper = 30 calories, and they are super filling! Bell peppers are packed full of fiber, vitamin C and E, and best of all they aren’t processed. And by avoiding those sugary processed foods you will actually crave them less.
If you’re not one who’s into raw vegetables then I would suggest steaming or sauteing these guys, and if you’re feeling real adventurous you could even try grilling them.

Boiled eggs are one of my favorites because I’ll boil a dozen eggs on Sunday and have a powerful vitamin packed snack that’s pretty much already prepared all week long. This makes it quick and easy for those of you who are on the go and want something that is going to make you feel full and reduce your urge to pick up that bag of cookies.

Carrots have a lot of benefits because they contain so many important vitamins. Such as potassiun, vitamin B6, B1, B2, biotin, vitamin K, phosphorus, folate…need I go on?
I sure will because carrots not only taste amazing weather you’re eating them raw or steaming them, but they also contain beta-carotene your body uses this to create what is called retino this type of vitamin is what helps protect the membrane around your eyes.

Almonds are a great substitute for chocolate. If your craving chocolate you can piratically kill that craving by eating a handful of almonds. They contain protein, and other powerful vitamins and minerals that will help give you energy and keep your hunger at bay until the next meal.

Raspberries, Blueberries, Strawberries, and Blackberries they all contain plenty of antioxidants. They also protect your cells from damage and keeps you mentally sharp.
If you are striving to loose weight then you should definitely consider incorporating berries into your diet. They are great for you in so many ways and you will also feel pretty full after eating them, again stopping you from over eating that junk food.
And the beauty about preparing berries for a snack is it doesn’t take much work at all! You can grab a bowl of them and eat them plain, or add some Greek Yogurt and have yourself a tasty parfait.

If you’re wanting something that has a little more substance than just some berries, I totally get it. And peanut butter will get you there. You can pair it with so many different foods. For example:
- Peanut Butter and apple slices
- Peanut Butter and celery sticks
- Peanut Butter and honey mixed together
- Peanut Butter and pretzels
- Peanut Butter and carrots
- Peanut Butter by itself
Plus you don’t have to feel guilty about treating yourself to this simple pleasure in life because it’s packed full of potassium, which lowers your risk for high blood pressure, and strokes. It’s another food that is going to help suppress your appetite. It also contains magnesium and heart healthy fats

Avocado can be eaten a couple of different ways. You can slice it up and eat it the way it is, or add a little salt. Or if you want a more extensive snack or a small meal you can pair it with some toast and or an over easy egg.

Bananas are incredibly healthy! Bananas will help prevent sore muscles and improve your mood. They will also help keep you food cravings to a minimum. They’re also super cheap and super filling, which makes them a staple snack in our house.

Pumpkin seeds have a lot of benefits other than a tasty treat in October. They have magnesium, omgea-3 fats, zinc, they’ve also been linked to reducing risks of certain cancers. They aid in making your heart happy and your blood sugar levels low. Definitely a snack I keep with me when I’m on the go.
