The Truth About Getting Summer Body Ready
With summer just around the corner there is a lot of sudden panic on trying to get your body summer ready. And there’s a lot of catchy headlines out there promising that you’ll get your dream body in a week if you read their post…
Here’s the hard honest truth stop falling for those statements the ones where you put in hardly any work and you get life changing results in a blink of an eye. The whole
“5 Simple Workouts That Will Get You Sexy Toned Arms IN A WEEK!”
“Tone Your Thighs In Just 7 Days!” or…
“Drink This Magic Drink That Will Melt Off Your Belly Fat, And Change Your Life!”
(I smell some snake juice mixed with that kale and grapefruit….)
You will not see your entire body change within a week or even 2 weeks. A good body takes time, in fact, anything that’s high quality takes time and effort.
If you go to McDonald’s you can expect your food in a matter of minutes. It’s gonna be greasy and not something you’re likely to share on Instagram. If you go to a 5 start restaurant it’s going to take a quite a while longer to get your food because quality takes time. And you will proudly be posting a pic of your delicious filet mignon.
Those 5 simple workouts that will get you sexy toned arms may be true, but it won’t happen in a week. And the results you start feeling will not last or have much of an effect if you just do them for a week. You have to be consistent and commit to more than just 7 days to have the arms (or the body) of your dreams.
The thing that I see a lot of people do is they don’t see the results they want right away. So the exercises they’re doing aren’t working right? Not exactly..
If “Flat Abs In 5 Minutes”, and “Toned Thighs By Thursday”, if those really did work then everyone would do it. We wouldn’t have any type of obesity (or at lest it would be a totally different standard) because everyone would look like super models.
If you really want that summer bod you’re gonna have to commit to a plan and keep going. Also you can’t just choose 1 part of your body to workout. Isolation workouts really aren’t that effective if you are trying for a body transformation. Plus you could end up with a super strong upper body but a really weak lower body (don’t skip leg day;)
By working your entire body your are engaging more of your muscles, which increases your overall strength. But we’ll talk about the pros and cons of isolation training another day!
All in all just remember it takes doing something again and again to see results!
